Nellie McDougall
(later Mrs. William Leslie Wood)

Nellie went with her sister Eliza to Rocky Mountain House, after Eliza's marriage to Richard Hardisty, but then the following year went with her sisters to the Wesleyan College in Hamilton, Ontario. She rejoined her family in 1872, which would mean that she was away during the Smallpox epidemic. Her family was living in Edmonton at the time, and she was put in charge of the school. Two years later she married William Leslie Wood, and moved to Edmonton, and then to High River, back to Edmonton, then Calgary, and then Athabasca Landing. Her husband became ill in 1910 and so they returned to Edmonton. He died in 1911.

Nellie remained in Edmonton until her death in 1941. She had no children.
