Mrs. R. Campell Chosen President Smoky Lake W.I.

SMOKY LAKE, July 9. - The ladies of the town met at the home of Mrs. Reeves last Saturday and organized a branch of the Women's Institute. Mrs. Murean, district organizer, was present.

Officers for the year were appointed as follows: President, Mrs. Robert Campbell; vice-president, Mrs. McKay; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. E. Daigneault; directors, Mrs. Reeves, Mrs. Cross McKenzie, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Weder; legislation convener, Mrs. Cross; home economics, Mrs. Longman; immigration, Mrs. McKay; child welfare, Mrs. Anderson; Canadianization, Mrs. Romaniuk; education, Mrs. Nykiforuk.

The next meeting of the home branch will be held at the home of Mrs. Mckenzie on the last Thursday in August at which three hostesses, will preside.

Mr. and Mrs. McKay and daughter Margaret have left home on their vacation which will be spent touring Alberta and British Columbia. J. Fair is filling the position at the bank vacated by Mrs.John Radomsky.
