Victoria Settlement

Provincial Historic Site.

Victoria Settlement is open from 10:00am - 6:00pm seven days a week, from May 15th to the labour day weekend. Located on the site is a 1864 Hudson's Bay Clerk's quarters and a 1906 Methodist Church. Visitors are invited to watch a short video about the history, and are offered tours of the buildings. Homemade ice-cream making, bannock, or finger-weaving demonstrations may also be available.

General tours are always available, special group tours or activities can be booked in advance. Whether you're part of an organization that would like to come down for a tour, bannock and tea, or a family looking for an adventure for the day, feel free to phone ahead and arrange for a special activity like ice-cream making, or playing a fur-trade game. Prices vary depending on what you want. Birthday parties are especially welcome!

The book A Veritable Canaan is sold at the historic site, and recounts the history of the site. Money from the sale of the book goes towards the Friends Society's projects.
